Terminal Relay

Privacy policy

Terminal Relay does not include advertising, analytics or tracking, and it does not operate a hosted relay service. Your devices connect directly to workers and services you choose.

Last updated July 27, 2026

Data stored on your devices

The apps store worker connection settings, project references, display preferences and account labels locally. The iPhone and iPad app creates an SSH private key in the device Keychain. Terminal Relay does not upload that private key.

Pairing and camera access

The iPhone and iPad app uses the camera only to scan a pairing code shown by the Mac app. Camera frames are processed on the device and are not stored or transmitted.

The short-lived pairing credential is sent directly to the worker you selected and is removed from that worker after it authorizes the device-specific public key.

Data sent to services you choose

Terminal sessions, repository operations and account requests are sent directly to workers and services configured by you, which may include SSH servers, Tailscale, GitHub, Codex or Claude. Those services process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

Terminal Relay and its developer do not receive your terminal traffic, repositories, worker addresses, credentials or private keys.

Updates and diagnostics

iPhone and iPad updates are managed by the App Store. The Mac app may check a public update feed and download releases, without attaching worker, account, project or device details to those requests.

The apps do not transmit diagnostics to the developer. If you choose to contact support, do not include credentials, private addresses, terminal contents or other sensitive information.

This website

The Terminal Relay pages on this website do not load advertising or analytics scripts. Standard web-server security logs may temporarily record technical request information such as IP address, browser type and requested URL.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Terminal Relay’s behavior changes. The latest version and effective date will always appear on this page.
